Hey guys what’s up its ya boy blizzzard/Robbie and today im going to talk about 4 things in the new deal that stills impacts us today.
One huge thing that came from is social security. With this new system you were guaranteed money when you retired which made life a whole lot easier for a lot of working Americans. This social security number was an access to everything the government knew about you. But it also was a gateway for people to steal other people private information. While this is a huge issue without social security America could be a mess.
Another major project Roosevelt started was the Tennessee valley authority, this was the start to getting the economy back on track. Roosevelt spent government money to help fund this project. Without Roosevelt the depression would have ended but it might have been a lot later, and in the worst case our economy could have crumbled and crashed and we might have never come out of it and our nation could have been destroyed.
One other huge thing the government did was start the AAA. The AAA was a committee that stood for agricultural adjustment administration. This committee was in charge of the agricultural part of the great depression. It employed 1 out of 5 Americans and started getting food back into the people hands. This committee was a huge stepping stone to the end of the depression. Without this the depression might never had ended and America could have been destroyed.
After the dust bowl Americas food supply was lacking and hurting the economy. So Roosevelt set up the (SCS) or the Soil Conservation Service. This is one of the huge acts Roosevelt started. It got food back into Americas hands. Without this act America could have a food shortage and a huge loss of population.
